Note: Depending on your system configuration, this feature may be available only to users with administrative permissions.
When an on-site or otherwise required product is not represented in the product list, you can send a request to your DolphinRTK administrators that the product be acquired for the product list. After your request is submitted, administrators can evaluate it in the request queue and decide whether to acquire the product MSDS.
Administrators can also submit product requests. An administrator request can be for any product or for a specific product found while searching IHS Dolphin Online.
To request a product for the product list:
Do one of the following, depending on the origin of the product you want to request:
To request a product from IHS Dolphin Online: When viewing the product MSDS in IHS Dolphin Online search results, click Request in the upper right.
To request any product: From any DolphinRTK page, click Request a product in the lower left.
The Product Request page opens.
Enter the properties of the product you are requesting:
Product Name: The product's common name, which is already entered when you are requesting a product from IHS Dolphin Online.
Manufacturer: The product's manufacturer, which is already entered when you are requesting a product from IHS Dolphin Online. Otherwise, enter the manufacturer's name or select it from the provided menu of all manufacturer names recorded in your system.
Used at: If you know where the product is (or will be) used, select each location here.
Bar-Code Number/Type: If the product's bar-code is available, enter or scan its number here and select the code's type.
Requested by: The name of the person/team/department (as determined by your company practices) submitting this request.
Comments: Any additional information regarding this product or request.
Click Submit.
Your request is submitted and added to the administrators' request queue.
